Today we’re taking a closer look at the beautiful Eastside of Santa Cruz. One of our favorite things to do is take a walk along East Cliff Drive. You can walk your dog, ride your bike, watch the surfers, and enjoy the gorgeous oceanside views.
There are a ton of awesome, local businesses at the end of 41st Ave. Verve Coffee, Cat and Cloud, and Zen Island are all fantastic spots. There are pizza places, surf shops, and plenty of boutique stores. There’s also a movie theater on this side of town.
Eastside Santa Cruz is also home to world-class surfing. Some of the best surf breaks in California. There’s Pleasure Point, First Peak, Wynden Sea, Rockview, 26th Avenue, and more. We swell so often through the year that you can get waves virtually any time you want.
Another great thing about the Eastside is that you can ride your bike to Capitola Village, the harbor, or all the way to the Westside of Santa Cruz. The town is essentially flat, and there are many hidden bike trails. It’s a great starting point for a nice ride.

The Eastside of Santa Cruz has so much to offer. It’s rare to find a beach like this anywhere in the world. It’s conveniently located near the harbor, and there are plenty of restaurants, breweries, and more. There’s an incredible culture here that has developed over the years. This is a fantastic community and a perfect place to call home.
